Dr. Miki Hayashi earned her Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from University of San Francisco and California College of Arts and Crafts. However in her senior years, she realized that her calling was not in art but in health. She earned Master Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with Cum laude, and Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Southern California University of Health Science. She worked as a part time faculty at SCUHS until November 2012. She has studied 200 hours of applied kinesiology, many hours of functional medicine training and is certified in Kinesio. Dr. Hayashi joined UMC as an associate doctor in May 2012.
Her focus is not just pain relieve and discomfort from patients but education to people live a healthier life style to enable them to do what they love. She has successfully treated many patients with different conditions through acupuncture, chiropractic and functional medicine. Her treatments are individualized for the needs of each patient.
When she is not treating patient, Dr. Hayashi enjoys hiking, running, basketball (she loves the clippers) and painting. She has a soft heart for animals especially dogs and volunteer for local non-profit dog rescue groups.
